Abstract This study aims to investigate, from an intergenerational perspective, black gay men's memories of homophobia and racism and their relation to future narratives. This is a qualitative research with a theoretical-epistemological orientation that starts from Critical Social Psychology in dialogue with gender, sexuality and raciality studies. As a methodological strategy, discussion groups will be carried out with the purpose of stimulating the debate, among young and adult black gay men, about their memories, their strategies of confrontation with situations of racism and homophobia and the relation of these meanings with the narratives of the future. In order to deepen the themes discussed in the group, it is proposed to conduct in-depth interviews. It is expected to mobilize reflections about the role of psychology in the construction of spaces for discussion and dialogue about the current experiences and the future of black gay men, as well as to unveil the role of memory in the process of humanization and its relation with the construction of future perspectives. | |
