Abstract

In this project, it is proposed to highlight the potentialities of three-dimensional models, discussing historical aspects and new technologies of 3D digital mapping, having as a product a practical didactic experience, starting from a proposal to rescue a cultural heritage of São Paulo and the principle that preservation and accessibility public promote knowledge and understanding, providing the investigation of the object and the public policies that ensure it, its history and resources. Cultural heritages are encompassed, at the service of citizenship, the democratization of teaching and knowledge, designing an instrument of valorization, preservation and conservation of national heritage, perpetuating its memory. The Cathedral da Sé, a listed historical heritage, located in São Paulo-SP, is presented as a case study, addressing its reconstruction and digital presentation, through the conception of scripts by Public Art. The principles that enable this proposal are based on the lack of preservation and dissemination of heritage in Brazil and on the insipidity of the World Wide Web, together with the need to give visibility to certain elements with significant social, cultural and historical value, and to alert to the growing desiccation of this heritage. Thus, this work relies on contemporary elements and seeks to ennoble the concepts of architecture, characterized by the exploration of a historical heritage, through an immersive environment.
