Abstract This study will evaluate the aspects that interfere with parent's decision process regarding the treatment possibilities for MIH through the Discret Choice Experiment method (DCE). The attributes and levels will be discussed and listed through discussions with the research group and Molar-Incisive Hypomineralization expertise. The experimental design will define the most efficient arrangement for the choice set to be analyzed through combinations, excluding those considered implausible, in order to obtain a list of minimal combinations, decreasing complexity and parent fatigue during execution. The experiment will be applied through an online platform, using an electronic questionnaire containing clinical cases and possible treatment alternatives, then the respondents will be asked to choose their preferential treatment. To relate the probability of choice between two alternatives to the characteristics (attributes and levels) that describe those alternatives, conditional or latent class logistic regression models will be used. For quality of the adjustment, the chi-square likelihood radio test will be calculated for each model to provide a way to determine whether the inclusion of attribute level variable significantly improves model fit compared to a null model. | |
