Abstract

In order to strengthen the collaborative work with the Women's Department of the Federation of Indigenous Organizations of Rio Negro, the Instituto Socioambiental (Rio Negro) and the Observatory of Gender Violence in Amazonas (OVGAM/UFAM), a Direct Doctoral student will perform an anthropological research, with an ethnographic basis, located in the city of São Gabriel da Cachoeira (AM). The research aims to understand the cosmopolitical assemblages, networks and knowledge of indigenous women, especially when the young in that city, mobilized in ways to deal with, confront, cannibalize and resist the dynamics of violence, death and illness associated with the colonial framework of the city, who have as a privileged space their bodies and their sexualities. The student must participate in Knowledge Meetings (Encontros de Saberes) and Future-building Workshops (Oficinas de Composição de Futuros) in SGC, as well as in the production of a Transmedia Platform that will be created for the project, and in training processes with students from the Faculty of Public Health at USP. The student will have the opportunity to develop an excellent training process and their research skills, seek international partnerships and internships, collaborate with a heteroclite and interdisciplinary team of researchers and collaborators, and publicize important research results.
