Abstract

Localization is a desirable phenomenon in superconducting qubits, due to the necessity to isolate certain parts of the system from the others and thus perform local operations. In this project, we aim to investigate localization in circuits of superconducting qubits, in presence of competing nearest-neighbor and long-range coupling in circuits with frequency disorder. Our objective is to identify how the capacitive-induced coupling between remote qubits can reshape the localization properties of 1D and 2D circuits, and increase the fidelity of operations. This project addresses both the single-excitation and double-excitation regime, performing a first step from the Anderson localization toward the many-body regime, using tools such as spectral analysis.
