Abstract The study of Characteristic Classes of singular spaces is a current theme, which has been widely used in several areas of science. The objective of this project is to study Schwartz-MacPherson classes through the bias of classical Singularity Theory and intersection homology, which will provide an appropriate tool for the development of questions that generalize classical problems in Singularity Theory and Algebraic Topology.
