Abstract

Matching-to-Sample (MTS) is a traditional procedure used to train conditional relations in stimulus equivalence field. Although studies have investigated variations in this procedure, the way in which it is presented to the participant was not studied as an independent variable. A recent trend in teaching methodologies is gamification, with the goal of transforming procedures, increasing the attention of the participants, and facilitating the learning. Considering this trend, Experiment 1 aims to compare three procedures of conditional relations training: a traditional version of MTS, an MTS with few gamification elements and the game Miner Troubles (MTs), a gamified version of the same procedure. Also, it will be tested the adaptation of the procedures to online data collection. The participants will be divided randomly in the groups, and they will be exposed to a conditional relation learning of tree equivalence classes (A1B1C1, A2B2C2 e A3B3C3). The emergent relations will be tested, and the participants will be called to test the maintenance of these relations after one week. It will also be applied a scale of social validity to verify the evaluation of the participants related to the procedures used. In Experiment 2, it will be compared the efficacy of Miner Troubles game with a traditional MTS procedure in the reading training for children with difficulties in this task. It will be trained the relations between spoken words (A) and figures (B; AB Training), and between spoken words (A) and written words (C; AC Training) using the MTs game. And it will be tested: the figures naming (teste BD Test, in which "D" is the naming response of the participant), the emergence of the relations between pictures and written words (BC Test) and between written words and pictures (CB Test); and the naming of the written words by the participants (CD test). This experiment will use a single subject design with multiples probes.
