Abstract

The use of electric energy by automobiles leads to a reduction in gasoline consumption accompanied by a drop in greenhouse gas emissions. However, the progressive dissemination of electric vehicles creates the need to supply the growing energy demand for recharging. The gradual shift of the energy matrix to renewable sources is one of the main global strategies for sustainable development. Therefore, taking advantage of solar radiation to generate electricity and charge electric vehicles represents a sustainable solution for the development of the energy and mobility sectors. In this context, the proposed project aims to study electric vehicles concomitantly with solar energy, searching a coherent and responsible environmental solution, in line with the overall path of the sustainable development. The main objective is to study, from the consumer's point of view, whether the incentives for the use of electric vehicles present effective results that justify migrating from combustion vehicles to electric vehicles and joining the solar photovoltaic generation for recharge at home. The work plan is divided into three parts: solar energy, electric mobility, and the combination of them (solar energy + electric mobility). Particularly, for the BEPE period, the candidate proposes complement the started studies related to solar energy and develop the electric mobility part, in order to merge both from the international experience.
