Abstract

This activity plan for the Scientific Initiation (CI) fellowship integrates the FAPESP thematic project "Vulnerabilities of youth to STI/HIV and dating violence: evaluating a human rights-based psychosocial intervention" (FAPESP 2017/25950-2), modified by the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this scientific initiation is to describe the experiences of discrimination, violence and other rights violations that affect the lives of gay boys students in high school, in the territory of the technical school where it will be inserted. Based on the reading of the project's preliminary results on the topic and ethnographically inspired observations of the Sorocaba school territory where the project is developed since 2019, throughout the project's field activities in 2023 the fellow will conceive and conduct interviews with two boys self-identified as gay with distinct religiosities. The scenes of daily life collected in the school and the scenes she will collect in the interviews will be analyzed based on the contrast in recent Brazilian literature on the same topic and the theoretical framework of vulnerability and human rights that informs the project.
