Abstract In the doctoral research to which this project is linked, I investigate a network of social projects that operate under the premise of producing social impact through music teaching. Despite the projects studied carrying out activities that are quite different from each other, the presence of the rhetoric of transformation as a motivator of their practices is something that crosses them. The rhetoric of transformation is not exclusive to social projects that work with music, but to an entire area of activity that encompasses a broader notion of culture at the service of social development. In the case of Plataforma Sinfonia do Amanhã, the relationships established between the social projects and the financing entity, Enel, are supported by a corporate action methodology called Creating Shared Value, which considers that, for the management of linked social projects to be strategic , it must generate shared value - that is, economic value for the company, and social value for the community where it operates. In order to better understand the terms used in this relationship between the corporate world and the artistic world, in this research project, to be developed at the University of Barcelona, thescholarship holder proposes to carry out a one-year internship under the supervision of Professor Dr. Roger Sansi, whose work proposes an analysis of artistic practices and exchanges based on a discussion about the gift. In this sense, the scholarship holder hopes to deepen her theoretical knowledge about the gift in the constitution of artistic practices aimed at social issues, investigating above all how this approach can illuminate aspects of these musical exchanges.
