Abstract

Starting with the animals and animality in Thus Spoke Zarathustra, the present research proposes a reflection on the animal in Nietzsche. Through this work, it is possible to relate elements of the overman and of the eternal return to the animal. In other works by Nietzsche, it is possible to support that the animal is in the instant of the eternal return and that man and overman are not higher levels than it is. The hypothesis raised here is that the notion of animality in Nietzsche is inserted in the amorality and timelessness that refers to the supramorality of the overman and supratemporality of the eternal return.
