Abstract

This research project is linked to the ongoing research entitled Rural-Urban interfaces in Latin America: a look at the CINVA-SUDENE dialogues, developed with the aim of contributing to the historiographical construction of the development of Rural Sociology in its interface with Urban and Regional Sociology and the field of Territorial Planning in Latin America, in active movement in the second half of the 20th century, following the interaction between the Centro Interamericano de Vivienda y Planeamiento (CINVA) and the Superintendência para o Desenvolvimento do Nordeste (SUDENE). In light of the literature review work already initiated, marked by significant historiographical gaps - especially regarding the central object of investigations, the VI Regional Course on Rural Housing, held in 1965 in a pioneering partnership between the aforementioned institutions -, the realization of the research in Colombia aims to aggregate information and deepen knowledge about this Course and CINVA itself, between the theoretical-conceptual framework in which it was historically founded and its effective actions. Considering the existing links between the ongoing research conducted in Brazil and Universidad Nacional de Colombia, the historical headquarters of the inter-American organization and home to all its documentation, the proposed project presents a synthetic methodological structure, focused on bibliographic-documentary scanning work and information systematization, conceived in a way to collaborate with the collective efforts of the research group to which it is associated. Based on the main hub of contemporary research on the topic, this project aims to enhance opportunities for knowledge exchange and individual research outcomes, reflected as a whole in the historiographical fields of Architecture, Urbanism, and Planning from a Latin American perspective.
