Abstract This investigative work aims to search for, to find and interview subjects that participated, as teachers or students, in the Movement for Literacy of Adults, the MOBRAL, in order to comprehend, through the analysis of their narrative, how those subjects experienced this movement at the historical and personal dimension. Analyses of dualistic feature have been contributing to classify historical events simply as positive or negative. Studies about the MOBRAL do not escape this logic. As a literacy program for adults that was developed during the Brazilian dictatorship, in the period between 1971 and 1985, MOBRAL has been analyzed in contradiction to the consciousness theory of Paulo Freire. Although many arguments sustain, in consistent ways, the theoretical, epistemological and methodological differences between the two proposals, in the present investigation, we aim to work with the category of contradiction, problematizing the dualistic mode of conceiving reality, and exploring sources, until now not taken into account, such as the listening to the people involved in this program. The listening to the historical agents that were part of the movement implies the (re) emergence of meanings so far ignored and silenced. As we will be trying to establish and implement a contact network with teachers and students that participated in the project, we will proceed through a data survey research, on the following archives (INEP, CREMEJA e HEMEROTECAS). The analyses of the open interviews rely, priorly, on theoretical contributions and methodologies of Oral History and the Cultural-Historical theory of human development, mobilizing the concepts of experience (perezhivanie) and historical formation of consciousness. | |
