Abstract

This research project confirms the Argentine architect Marina Waisman as a cosmopolitan Latin American critic who was attentive to social and cultural issues throughout her professional activity and focuses on the survey and analysis of the contents present in all issues of the magazine Summarios (1976 - 1990), directed and edited by the architect. Through this study, the research will seek to point out which themes and issues contemporary to her time were selected and addressed by Waisman and how her contribution to these architectural, social, economic, and political debates, contained in the Summarios collection, affected both the moment of the last quarter of the 20th century and how it may be able to reverberate in current contemporary debates.
