Abstract

This research project aims to identify and analyze the process of identity construction of cis black adolescents from the public and private school context,the main inclination of the research will be directed to the racial suffering geared to the class and gender, oppressions that are articulated between power relations and social markers inside and outside of the school context. In this way, the research will be grounded in black feminist theorists committed to discussions about the construction of black identity, intersectionality and psychoanalysis. It is proposed to collect data and speeches through focus groups, with adolescents black women aged between 14-17, seeking to investigate how the perception of their blackness occurs, and, before Moreover, as they inhabited the doubt about their racial place, such data will be transcribed and analyzed from the content analysis methodology. Thus, through the speeches, it is proposed to expand understanding regarding the consequences that racial violence generates in their lives, configuring paths and mishaps such as school dropout, unemployment and, consequently, greater exposure to the precariousness of mental health.
