Abstract

The object of the current journalistic research project is the Communication Plan of the Center for Innovation in Urban Public Policies - FGV-CIDADES. The divulgation and scientific dissemination are aligned with FGV-Cidades' mission to "Increase access to opportunities for the most vulnerable population in cities living in isolated peripheries through improvements in mobility, housing, cultural activities, sports, leisure, and education." As a research center that seeks to produce innovation in urban public policies, scientific dissemination within the academic field and for strategic actors, such as managers and decision-makers, is essential for the consolidation of this mission. Thus, two main dimensions are articulated and involved in the Plan - 1. Strategies for dissemination and scientific dissemination, especially through scientific journalism practices and 2. Organizational communication strategies, which involve internal and external communication. Some communication products are previously planned, including the production of special articles, with parallel dissemination on social networks, from different formats and languages; production of newsletters; production of a podcast interviewing researchers from the Center, in addition to the relationship with traditional media.
