Abstract

As an unfolding of the Young Researcher project The teaching of the Christian faith in the Iberian Peninsula, which has as one of its fronts the study of the construction of the bases of the teaching of the divine word in the Iberian society of the late Middle Ages, the present project of Scientific Initiation aims to compare the uplifting role of the preacher's sermon with the bishop's sermon; two direct discourses seen as the voice of Christ on earth. Therefore, the sermons contained in Codex 40 of the Real Colegiata de San Isidoro de Leon and the synodal constitutions will be analyzed, as well as the synodal book of the Bishop of Salamanca Gonzalo de Alba.
