Abstract

This project aims to carry out a bibliographical deepening with a view to a better theoretical understanding of the concepts of neoliberalism, subjectivity and oppression, mobilized, in particular, in the work "A nova razão do mundo" (2017) by Christian Laval and Pierre Dardot and also in "Interseccionalidade" (2021) by Patricia Hill Collins and Sirma Bilge. These are fundamental concepts for the development of the critique of neoliberalism, as intended in the initial scientific initiation project "Freedoms and Oppressions: intersectionality as a critique of neoliberalism". Thus, when thinking about the complexity of social reality and the inequalities present in it, it is necessary to investigate with particular attention the case of socially disadvantaged groups, as is the case of women. With this in mind, it is proposed that the desired objective be developed with the guidance of Pierre Sauvêtre, professor at the University of Paris-Nanterre, with participation in the classes taught by him and in the GENA Study Group (Groupe d'Etudes du Néolibéralisme et des Alternatives), in which these topics are often discussed. To justify the current project, an overview is drawn exposing the contours of neoliberalism to contextualize this debate. Then, subjectivity is approached with an emphasis on how the neoliberal logic influences it, at the same time that it depends on it for its functioning. Finally, starting from the previous discussions, the position of women is situated and how they are oppressed through neoliberal subjectivity. (AU)
