Abstract

Sleep is a fundamental daily activity for human health, and its deficiency is associated with pathologies such as severe mental disorders and cardiovascular diseases. The recommended amount of sleep varies according to the age and individuality of the individual, in adults this recommendation is hardly achieved due to socio-behavioral factors. In medical students, these parameters can be even more affected due to the demanding workload of classes and emotional stress. In addition to these factors, the sleep of these students can be affected by sedentary lifestyle during graduation and the different chronotype profiles, phenotype of preference for times for sleep and activities, considering studies that demonstrated an association between sleep and physical activity, and chronotypes of the type Evening students could be negatively affected due to the predominantly morning graduation routine. The main objective of this work is to evaluate the influence of chronotype, sleep regularity and physical activity on social jetlag and sleep quality of medical students at UNICAMP. To achieve the proposed objective, we will analyze the existence of the phenomenon of social jetlag and the subjective quality of sleep of medical students at UNICAMP through the Pittsburg, Horne and Ostberg, Munich, Epworth and physical activity questionnaires, along with which an anamnesis and the sleep diary with the purpose of analyzing the students' sleep profile and regularity.
