Abstract

This project aims to propose a love that can overcome the narcissism basis of love. The freudianlacanians psychoanalysis elaborations in order to define and contextualize the narcissism. Aiming to find the basis of a love beyond narcissism we will resort and position on Alain Badiou's discussions about love, as an experience of the truth about the difference, and its ontological reach. In psychoanalysis' scope we will lean over mostly on Jacques Lacan's Seminar VIII and IX, aiming systematize how the phenomenon of love and identification are philosophically articulated in this moment of his work; the identification pertinence to the discussion is due to his border location with love phenomena and the lacanian elaboration of unary-trait; as the pure difference in trait. This strengthens the need and possibilities of thinking about the difference in the core of love experience. From our lacanian referential we will be able to receive the contributions of the philosopher Alain Badiou, both to rethink love as a narcissistic phenomenon, and to redefine the boundaries between love and identification. Beyond the seminars and Badiou's bibliography productions about love, it will be used commentators that aim to articulate philosophically the lacanian teach; it had been chosen mostly french authors, as such: Colette Soler, Moustapha Safouan and Élisabeth Roudinesco. We consider it so, finally, to contribute to the rich historical debate between psychoanalysis and french philosophy.
