Abstract

The object of this research project is to recover the history and memory of the contributions made by the São Paulo Regional Psychology Council (CRPSP) to the creation of the field of School and Educational Psychology. Its general aim is to identify, describe and analyze the actions and activities developed by the CRPSP in the area of School and Educational Psychology, since the establishment of this authority in 1974. Its specific objectives are: a) to identify the documents that express the presence of School and Educational Psychology; b) to highlight the main forms of organization of the CRPSP in this field and its main actions; c) to analyse the results of these actions and activities for the development of a critical perspective; d) to reflect on the products of these actions for the field of public policies in education. This is documentary research, whose primary data sources will be the minutes of the Plenary Sessions and the Education Commissions; the education legislation produced; the publications and events held. The method focuses on recording the documents in order to create a timeline that explains the main movements made towards the critical participation of psychology in the field of education. The aim is to analyze the contributions of CRPSP's discussions and actions through the participation of School and Educational Psychology in guaranteeing equity and diversity in basic education and in the constitution of public educational policies.
