Abstract

The dissertation aims to identify and describes the main Digital Farming technologies adopted by soybean farmers in the state of São Paulo. The methodology proposed semi-structured interviews with key agents in the soybean production chain and primary data collection (survey) from 163 soybean farmers located in the state of São Paulo for one crop year, to perform cross-sectional survey analyses. Econometric models of qualitative choice (logit or probit) will be estimated to identify the determining factors of Digital Farming technologies adoption decisions by soybean farmers. The expected results are the identification and description of Digital Farming technologies adopted by soybean producers in the state of São Paulo; identification of the drivers for the adoption of different Digital Farming technologies by soybean producers in the state of São Paulo; description of the characteristics, impacts and potential of Digital Agriculture technologies for farm management; Proposing strategies to increase the dissemination of Digital Farming technologies among farmers.
