Abstract

Geographical variations influence environmental and socioeconomic aspects, climate, and behavioral practices of populations, which affect the skin of individuals. Furthermore, Brazil and France are multi-ethnic countries, thus it becomes necessary to understand the differences in the skin of different populations, aiming at the development of cosmetics and treatments that can cover more diverse audiences, and reduce the disparity in access to these. understanding the characteristics of different skin types can enhance the categorization of cosmetic items, enabling finer segmentation of the market, which can result in more personalized products, as well as identifying the specific needs of each individual and choosing the most suitable products and treatments. Finally, this improvement can lead to a more satisfactory experience for consumers and, consequently, to greater adherence to cosmetic products, causing the cosmetics industry to reach an even higher level in terms of quality and customer satisfaction.
