Abstract

The development of biosensors ranges from choosing a target for detection to analyzing quantities related to their efficiency. The use of aptamers in the detection area is proving increasingly promising, allowing specific and selective configurations for the target analyte. With the aim of investigating the use of the G-quadruplex aptamer for detection of Dengue NS1, electrochemical impedance and capacitance spectroscopy techniques were used, seeking to optimize the proportion of immobilization on the surface for each technique and making comparisons between the results obtained, such as sensitivity. Now, through this project, we seek to study other forms of surface optimization, thus proposing variations in the surface area of the gold electrode on which the detection layer is formed, and chemical surface modifications, with the use of PEDOT: P.S.S. It is expected that, with the determination of more optimization factors, it will be possible to improve the detection signal of the Dengue NS1 protein using Impedance Spectroscopy and Electrochemical Capacitance techniques, complementing data and research results previously carried out by the student researcher .
