Abstract

Although advances in medicine have been fundamental in increasing life expectancy in recent years, the aging of the population brings with it new challenges. Thus, we have seen a significant increase in the incidence and prevalence of disorders and diseases related to aging, such as neurodegenerative diseases. However, medicine itself, despite the greater ease of diagnosis today, is currently not capable of solving some of these disorders, and sees science as reliable and necessary support in the search for alternatives. However, producing scientific knowledge alone is not enough if it does not reach the general population, after all, it is they who can benefit from possible innovative therapies. In this way, this project aims to create a bridge between one of the projects developed by Prof. Soraya S. Smaili, who deals with the use of cannabinoids in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and represents very well what is produced scientifically in Brazilian universities, and the general population through videos that will be posted on social networks, such as tik tok, Instagram and YouTube. All of this, with a clear, democratic and relaxed language whose main target audience is the young population and with the objective of disseminating responsible and quality content in order to bring society closer to university scientific production.
