Abstract

The research aims to examine the representation of French culture and politics in TV Tupi telereports shown between 1950 and 1968. With this, we will discuss the historical construction of the links between politics and culture through the analysis of audiovisual images about France and the political discourse elaborated by this language. The time frame focuses on the moment of the station's inauguration until the representation of political events linked to May 1968.
