Abstract

This project seeks to investigate the performance of parliamentarians who worked in the Parliamentary Front of Agriculture (FPA) since its formalization in 2002, and which made up the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in the 2000s. Therefore, we are interested in investigating the conditions of political presence of women in a context dominated by large landowners, businessmen rural and agro-industrial. Through a prosopographic analysis that will pay attention to the properties collective of these political representation specialists, we will examine family capitals, visions of world, conceptions of institutional politics and gender relations of parliamentarians who were part ofone of the main political forces in Brazil in the 2000s, the so-called "ruralist bench".
