Abstract

Through agrometeorological modeling, it is possible to determine the potential and attainable yield for the peanut crop, as well as assess the yield gap related to water deficit under various management types. In this context, the objective of the study will be to calibrate the agrometeorological model DSSAT-CROPGRO-Peanut, aiming to estimate the potential and attainable productivity and the yield gap of peanut cultivars at different sowing times, considering different regions and soil types. The study will use three peanut cultivars (IAC 503, IAC OL3, and Granoleico) for model calibration. Afterward, the potential and attainable productivity and the yield gap related to water deficit of the three cultivars will be estimated across thirteen sowing dates (from August 21 to December 21) in six regions (Jaboticabal-SP, Marília-SP, Tupã-SP, Presidente Prudente-SP, Assis-SP, and Bataguassu-MS) and two soil types (Oxisol and Ultisol). The best sowing time will be evaluated according to the management groups (regions, cultivars, and soil types) based on the climatic history of the last 30 years.
