Abstract The purpose of this research project is to apply for a Research Internship Abroad Grant (BEPE - FAPESP), based on the specific needs of our ongoing post-doctoral research, carried out at the Philosophy Department of the School of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the Federal University of São Paulo, funded through a FAPESP post-doctoral grant under the category Scholarships in the Country. As mentioned in the initial research project, the central theme of our work is Samuel Beckett's television plays written from 1966 onwards, as well as the author's original unpublished manuscripts and typescripts relating to the process of writing and staging the six plays listed for the work, namely Eh Joe (1965), Ghost Trio (1975), ...but the clouds... (1976), Quad (1982), Nacht und Träume (1982) and Was wo (1985), as well as a wide range of materials related to Beckett's television stagings, such as videos of his productions, photographs, critical essays, statements by the playwright and his collaborators, correspondence, etc. Unlike our doctoral research, where we used as our central bibliography books containing Beckett's documents and notes relating to the process of writing and staging the dramaticules, in the case of this research these unpublished materials can only be accessed if we manage to carry out the intended research internship at the Beckett International Foundation, located at the University of Reading, in England, described in our initial project and evaluated by both reviewers as fundamental to the development of this work, since this internship will enable access to a large number of unpublished documents that will significantly deepen our research and consequent analysis of the data obtained. | |
