Abstract Faced with the challenges posed by climate change and population growth, global food production faces increasing pressure to ensure food security for the population. Therefore, it is of common interest to search for innovative solutions capable of reconciling the constant changes in natural cycles that affect plant production with the need to combat food insecurity among the population. In this way, agriculture plays a fundamental role in agri-food systems, adopting technological approaches in order to boost sustainable production. The present work proposes the development of a low-cost and low-energy monitoring system to be used in soybean cultivation, given its national and international importance in food production. The implementation of a module that measures, receives and transmits temperature, humidity and photoperiod data from sensors distributed throughout this crop's plantation, which are transmitted to the cloud, represents a significant advance for agricultural management. This approach will allow producers to better understand the environmental conditions in the soybean production cycle, thus contributing to increased productivity and sustainability. By integrating technologies such as embedded systems and IoT, this project aims to not only improve the soybean production process, but also promote more sustainable agricultural practices in line with the UN goals for 2030, such as Zero Hunger and Sustainable Agriculture. | |
