Abstract This project focuses on the phenomenon of disinformation and fake news present on the digital platforms, with an emphasis on the Brazilian electoral period of 2022. Given the growing influence of digital media in electoral processes and the rapid increase in disinformation being created and disseminated in this environment, it is essential to gain a deep understanding of these phenomena. The project aims to develop a classification of the fake news disseminated, aligned with the available literature and the Brazilian socio-political context, in order to significantly contribute to the studies of disinformation, social media platforms, and the 2022 elections. This objective will be achieved through the use of qualitative analysis tools, such as Content Analysis and Social Network Analysis, which will be applied to data directly extracted from Twitter. The analysis and classification of disinformation disseminated under these conditions are of great importance for understanding these phenomena and current democratic processes. | |
