Abstract

With scientific communication as a politically situated approach and seeking public communication in anthropology, the Mundaréu podcast was created in 2019. It is coordinated by professors Daniela Manica and Soraya Fleischer, in a partnership between Unicamp and UnB. The aim of this journalistic proposal is to develop multimodal science journalism and science communication actions by producing a podcast series, audiovisual content for social networks and texts for publication (in journals, blogs, newspapers and websites) for the Mundaréu podcast. This is an offshoot of the research project "Um mundaréu de histórias: antropologia feminista da ciência e da tecnologia na América Latina" (A world of stories: feminist anthropology of science and technology in Latin America), which is funded by FAPESP, process n. 2022/05943-0, modality Regular Research Grant, valid from February 1, 2023 to January 31, 2025. The project is based at Labjor, the Laboratory for Advanced Studies in Journalism, of the Center for the Development of Creativity (NUDECRI) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Starting from the multimodality of the podcast (with sound, voice, text, stories and emotions) and also between the audio format of the podcast, the audiovisual content of social networks and the texts that this proposal intends to produce, the idea is to experiment with this meeting of different media formats as a tool for scientific dissemination.
