Abstract

Introduction: Gestational diabesity is the simultaneous development of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and maternal obesity (MO) in pregnant women. Diabesity is a problem because it creates an unfavorable intrauterine environment for the fetus, which leads to harmful neonatal and maternal outcomes. Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDG) are, in turn, diseases that also cause a harmful in utero environment for the fetus, also causing health risks for the mother-fetus binomial. Objectives: To evaluate the repercussions of the pre-pregnancy BMI of women who have controlled GDM based on the analysis of maternal blood pressure data. To analyze the influence of the risk factor pre-pregnancy overweight/obesity on the quarterly blood pressure curve and mean arterial pressure (MAP). Determine the prevalence of DHG. Characterize the distribution of types of hypertension according to each DHG category. Describe the behavior of the pressure curve. Describe the neonatal quantitative and qualitative anthropometric variables for each research group. Method: Retrospective cohort study that will be carried out at the Perinatal Diabetes Research Center (CIDP). The women will be divided into two groups: control (pregnant women with GDM who have low weight/adequate pre-pregnancy BMI) and study (pregnant women with GDM who have overweight/obese pre-pregnancy BMI). The data obtained from the Case Report Form (CRF) of the DIAMATER project 2016/01743-5 (FAPESP thematic project), the FAPESP project 2022/10036-1 and the Soul MV Hospitalar system (electronic medical record system of the HC FMB UNESP) will allow the search. Expected results: Based on the results, we will study the association between the overweight/obese pre-pregnancy profile of women who develop GDM and how this may affect the quarterly blood pressure curve, the diagnosis of HDP and the anthropometric data of the newborn.
