Abstract

The research aims to assist public management in improving affirmative action policies through reserved vacancies and racial quotas, using dropout rates and academic performance of the target group of the study as parameters. The project will be divided into four interrelated phases: data preparation and construction of a predictive model (phase 1), coordination of a public discussion agenda and creation of an alert mechanism to predict dropout risk (phase 2), drafting of a support proposal for the Affirmative Action Policy (phase 3), and dissemination of knowledge (phase 4). The Scientific Journalism (SJ) fellow will be responsible for defining topics, developing scripts, recording, editing, and publishing videos and written articles about the activities carried out in phases 1 and 2, which consist of translating knowledge about artificial intelligence, technological innovation, and its application in the field of education.
