Abstract

This study aims to analyze, through computerized microtomography, the efficacy of removing Bio-C Temp and UltraCal XS medications using ultrasonic insert, as well as comparing the behavior of these medications over different periods. The null hypotheses are that the choice of medication and the analysis period will not significantly influence the removal process. Monoradicular human teeth will be prepared and filled with the mentioned medications, and after 14 and 30 days, the medication removal will be performed. The samples will be scanned post-treatment, and the amount of remaining medication will be evaluated by volume using the CTan tool. Data will be analyzed at a significance level of 5%. It is expected that this study will allow identifying both qualitative and quantitative differences in the removal of Bio-C Temp and UltraCal XS medications over different analysis periods, revealing possible variations in the effectiveness of ultrasonic insertion over time. It is expected to determine if there are statistically significant differences in the removal of Bio-C Temp and UltraCal XS medications, providing conclusions about the influence of the medication used on the cleaning process and contributing to advancing knowledge in the field of endodontics. These results are crucial for guiding more effective clinical practices and enhancing endodontic cleaning procedures, positively impacting the quality of dental treatments.
