Abstract

In recent years, researches on the representation and control of nonlinear systems havesignificantly grown, focusing on the development of new stabilization techniques. In thiscontext, this project explores an expanding field in nonlinear systems control researchthrough static output feedback (SOF). The systems will be represented by Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy models, an advantageous approach as described in the literature. This representationenables the formulation of design conditions based on Linear Matrix Inequalities(LMIs). The objective is to establish new conditions that provide significant contributionsto the design of both switched and non-switched controllers that employ static outputfeedback and Lyapunov functions (FLFs), aiming to minimize an ¿¿ norm to reduce theeffects of disturbances on the nonlinear system. Relaxation techniques will also be incorporatedto obtain less conservative LMI conditions. The newly developed procedures willbe compared with similar results from the literature through computational simulationsand feasibility analyses. Finally, the practical applicability of these new procedures willbe evaluated by implementing the designed controllers on Quanser® equipment acquiredthrough the FAPESP Thematic Project: "Monitoring and Control of Dynamic SystemsSubject to Failures" (Process No. 2011/17610-0).
