Abstract

This Research Internship Abroad Fellowship aims to expand the student's knowledge of computational modelling and simulation in CFD, specifically using OpenFOAM, for haemodynamics cases by employing various rheological models to analyse blood as a non-Newtonian fluid. The project also intends to evaluate the influence of the type of boundary condition chosen on the simulation results. As a result of this research, the student is expected to acquire new knowledge about how boundary conditions can be coupled in OpenFOAM, and how these conditions can influence the rheology of the model.
