Abstract

The present project aims to investigate the cultural interactions resulting from the Roman presence in Ancient Palestine, focusing on material culture such as architecture, cultural symbols, and circulation of currency in the region. This research will also consider textual sources related to Samaria and its inhabitants, under the prism of the contextual archaeological approach and engaging with epistemological debates on intercultural relations between Romans and their provinces.
