Abstract

The PD fellow work is related to the project "Gender Equality in Science, Technology and Innovation Bilateral and Multilateral Dialogues". In order to achieve the objective of the GENDER STI project, which is to research and propose public policies to promote gender equality in the development of international cooperation in science, technology and innovation (STI), the PD fellow will work on all the project's activities, carrying out research, supervising undergraduate and master's students, and monitoring all stages of the project, especially in analyzing the interviews and supporting the creation of the São Paulo Gender Observatory, which is already under construction. She will also carry out specific research into gender inequalities in the urban context, focusing on public care policies and comparing the cities of São Paulo and Mexico City. This research, which is directly related to the GENDER STI project, will produce a diagnosis of the local contexts studied, a mapping of existing care public policies and the production of a guide to inform decision-makers on how to strengthen the local care agenda, an issue that is central to effectively combating the gender inequalities that are reproduced in cities.
