Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the factors (etiologies, characteristics of strictures, epidemiological characteristics and response to surgical and endoscopic treatment) related to benign esophageal strictures, excluding caustic strictures. The objective will be to identify factors of poor prognosis related to the failure of treatment of benign strictures with the need for referral to surgical treatment with esophageal resection (esophagectomy).
