Abstract This postdoctoral research project focuses on developing an intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) system tailored to precision agriculture, designed to gather and analyze data such as soil moisture, temperature, and weather conditions. Leveraging artificial intelligence and federated learning, the system aims to manage tasks and resources efficiently, provide accurate predictive analytics for crop production, and proactively identify agricultural issues. Key challenges include ensuring data quality, managing data heterogeneity, safeguarding privacy, achieving robust connectivity in rural areas, optimizing power management and real-time data processing, and addressing algorithmic complexities like model interpretability and data lack. The main objective is to increase productivity, optimize the use of resources, and promote agricultural sustainability. (AU) | |
