Abstract

Knowledge about algae is a significant gap in Basic Education, resulting in a society that does not value the conservation of this biodiversity or the environments in which it is found. The project proposed here aims to create an interdisciplinary participatory investigative activity on the identification of bodies of water in or around the school. After school visits, from the perspective of Critical Environmental Education, problem situations related to these bodies of water will be identified, engaging students in investigations to learn about algae in a way that connects them to local social and political issues.
