Abstract

Faced with a global scenario marked by scientific scepticism and challenges posed by disruptive technologies, science education faces the imperative of training young people for an uncertain future. The PhD project in Brazil aims to analyse narratives about disruptive technologies, seeking to understand perceptions of agency and develop a didactic-methodological tool to foster a proactive and hopeful vision of possible futures. The international doctoral internship, which is fundamental to the excellence and innovative nature of the research, will take place at the University of Bologna, Italy, under the guidance of Professor Giulia Tasquier. This choice is strategic and indispensable due to the group's unique experience in Future-oriented Science Education and the use of advanced software for linguistic and argumentative analysis of narratives. Integration with the University's renowned FEDORA and I SEE projects, which investigate the imagination of futures by young people and the development of anticipatory skills, will give the researcher access to cutting-edge discussions, validated methodologies and a global collaboration network. This international experience is crucial for the theoretical and methodological deepening of the project, guaranteeing a robust analysis and validation of the teaching tool. On returning to Brazil, the knowledge and skills acquired will be actively transferred to the scientific and educational community, contributing directly to strengthening Brazilian research and training citizens who are more engaged with the future of science and society.
