Abstract

This undergraduate research project proposes the development and validation of a functional prototype of a mobile application designed for the structured recording of pain and medication management in palliative care patients. The proposal is grounded in the modeling of relevant clinical data, the design of a modular and scalable software architecture, and the implementation of robust information security strategies in compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD). The system will incorporate standardized clinical scales such as the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the Brief Pain Inventory (BPI), and will be developed with a focus on usability, digital accessibility, and interoperability with electronic health record (EHR) systems based on the HL7 FHIR standard. The Flutter framework will be used for cross-platform development, and Firebase will serve as the backend infrastructure and sensitive data management platform. The methodology will be guided by user-centered design principles, clean architecture, and the system development life cycle (SDLC), with usability testing based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The expected outcome is a technical contribution to improving communication and clinical monitoring of palliative care patients, fostering a secure and humanized technological approach within the context of digital health.
