Abstract

This journalistic research proposal aims, based on the principles of communication and science dissemination, to publicize the activities, research, data, and initiatives of the South/Southeast coordination of INCT Caleidoscópio - Institute for Advanced Studies on Inequities, Inequalities, and Gender and Sexuality-Based Violence and Their Multiple Insurgencies - through its Observatory and its Feminist Social Incubator, the latter currently being implemented at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp). INCT Caleidoscópio is a scientific development project funded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), grounded in an intersectional feminist perspective to identify, understand, and structure practical actions to confront the inequalities and violence that affect women in academic environments within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Brazil. The South/Southeast coordination is managed by the Gender Studies Center Pagu at Unicamp and the Laboratory of Gender and History Studies (LEGH) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). To implement this proposal, the project intends to combine research on feminist science communication with the production of journalistic materials across multiple media and formats, aiming to expand INCT's visibility within society. This includes the production of reports and both textual and audiovisual journalistic content for dissemination through existing platforms, such as the Caleidoscópio Observatory website, its bulletin, and social media, as well as the exploration of new formats and channels, such as a monthly newsletter for the Observatory. The proposal also plans to support the structuring of a dedicated website for Unicamp's Feminist Social Incubator through the organization and production of content, highlighting its implementation process, ongoing projects, and future initiatives. Furthermore, it foresees the dissemination of journalistic materials in other media, such as Ciência e Cultura magazine, Jornal da Unicamp (JU), and Cadernos Pagu. Given the interinstitutional nature of the INCT, the project also aims to broaden its dissemination in journals and media outlets interested in feminist scientific production and research on women, by sending press releases about its activities, research, and events (national and international). Thus, this project seeks not only to contribute to the visibility of the INCT but also to foster the public communication of science produced by and about women. Finally, it is important to highlight my academic and research trajectory in themes related to feminism, communication, and audiovisual studies, developed both at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and at Unicamp, institutions directly associated with the INCT.
