Abstract This research project consists of conducting a scoping review with the aim of mapping and synthesizing the available evidence on the use of Point-Of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) by nurses in arteriovenous fistula puncture. The research protocol was previously developed and registered on the OSF platform. The review will be anchored in the I-AIM (Indication, Imaging, Interpretation, and Decision-Making) model, allowing us to structure and analyze how this technology has been incorporated into clinical nursing practice. The study will follow the methodological recommendations of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and the PRISMA-ScR guidelines, using systematic search strategies in international databases (PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus, Embase, Cochrane, Web of Science, LILACS) and gray literature (Google Scholar, PQDT).
