Abstract

Diet plays a central role in the physical, psychological, and cognitive development of adolescents, potentially influencing behavioral and psychosocial aspects. Research suggests that unhealthy dietary patterns may be associated with aggressive behavior and bullying victimization, highlighting the need to investigate this relationship within school populations. This study aims to examine the association between dietary patterns and involvement in aggressive behavior or bullying victimization among Brazilian adolescents, using secondary data from the 2019 National School Health Survey (PeNSE). This is a cross-sectional study based on secondary data analysis, drawing on a nationally representative sample. The study focuses on analyzing variables related to dietary habits, aggressive behavior, and bullying victimization. Data analysis will be conducted using multivariate statistical models to control for potential confounding variables. The expected results will identify patterns and relationships between eating habits and experiences of bullying at school, contributing to an understanding of the impact of nutrition on adolescent behavior. The study aims to provide evidence to inform the development of intervention strategies or interventional research that integrates nutritional and psychosocial aspects in promoting the quality of life of adolescents in the school setting.
