Abstract

The project aims to develop new routes for preparing thin films between Prussian blue analogues (PBA) and carbon nanostructures (nanotubes, graphene), targeting their application as electrodes in transparent, flexible and aqueous sodium- or potassium-ion batteries. Co-PBA and Mn-PBA will be synthesized by precipitation in a two-phase water/toluene system containing a stabilized carbon nanostructure film at the interface, using a route developed in our laboratory and called the liquid/liquid interfacial route. The final material will be obtained as an interfacial film, which will be deposited on various solid substrates and characterized by techniques such as X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, Raman, and UV-Vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy with EDS, and a complete electrochemical characterization. Various experimental conditions will be tested, and the obtained samples will be evaluated for use as cathodes in aqueous sodium or potassium ion batteries.
