Abstract

The proposed study is affiliated with the research group Processes of Subject Constitution in Educational Practices, part of the Graduate Program in Psychology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas. Its theme is related to the group's main project, titled "ART AS RESISTANCE: psychological practices for the transformation of the school", which is grounded in the theoretical-methodological framework of Historical-Cultural Psychology, with a focus on the concepts developed by Lev S. Vygotsky. Qualitative in nature and designed as an art-based intervention-research project, the study aims to identify and analyze the meanings of dating violence among high school adolescents attending a peripheral public school.The choice of this theme is justified by the growing number of cases involving young people as victims and perpetrators of dating violence. Moreover, the literature review highlighted the relevance of the topic, as many studies indicate adolescents' difficulty in recognizing themselves as victims and/or aggressors in their romantic relationships, contributing to the normalization of violent behaviors. The expected outcome is to broaden students' understanding of dating violence and to establish, as a school practice, the creation of spaces for discussion and reflection on relationship conflicts, particularly involving gender conceptions and their social representations.
