Abstract The current scientific initiation project consists of studying the behavior of the emission of pollutants according to the composition of micro-emulsions used as fuels in a vertical combustion chamber. The pollutants to be analyzed are: carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide. The fuel microemulsions are diesel-ethanol-diesel and vegetable oil-ethanol-biodiesel. This work is linked to the regular research project submitted under the code 2008/06649-0 to FAPESP and entitled "Study of the use of micro-emulsion diesel-ethanol-diesel and vegetable oil-ethanol-biodiesel as alternative fuels for common diesel". In this work, the composition of mixtures studied and the bench will be the same as the ones previously quoted. The tests will be conducted on the Combustion and Propulsion Associated Laboratory, of the Space Research Institute, located in Cachoeira Paulista. (AU) | |
